Countdown to Disney World!

We are officially on the Disney World countdown now that we are 2 weeks out!  We've been talking about it for so long lately that I think Abby might have given up. :)  So last night I had her make a paper chain that we'll tear off a link to each night as we get closer...this way she knows exactly how much longer (or as she says, "How many more night-night's") we have until we leave!

And technically - we are on the 2 week countdown until she turns 4 too!  *sniff*

Fall Festival

This past weekend our Pediatrician's office celebrated their 10 year anniversary with a Fall Festival at their office.  They had a petting zoo, arm painting, balloon animals, cotton candy, lemonade and lots of pumpkins to play with.  But the highlight was one of the local high school's drum line that came and preformed (one of the drummers just happens to be the son of their doctor).  Both Abby and Blake really liked watching them.  Maybe they will be drummers like their mommy and daddy??

2nd Haircut

Blake's hair is amazing!!  It's so thick and soft and beautiful...I'm so jealous.  But, that also means it was time for another haircut and this time they used clippers.  You and decide if you think he liked it.... :)

First ER Trip!

Well, Abby is almost 4 years old so it was about time.  We made our first trip to the ER this past weekend and I'm thankful it was for something simple and easy to fix.  She took a tumble on our marble floors and banged her chin bad enough that they needed to close it with dermabond (basically skin super glue).    She was a trooper for the most part, just a little scared when the doctor had to actually put the stuff on because I don't think she knew what to expect.  Poor girl!!

Pumpkin Patch!

We finally made it up to Sweet Berry Farms again this year to get some pumpkins and have some fun.  It was a perfect day!

These are the flowers Abby cut this year.  It's the first year they have also done sunflowers, so we did both!

When I was a dog...

Abby was holding my Reveille dog (the mascot for Texas A&M) that plays the Aggie fight song and this was our conversation in the car on the way to the grocery store...

Abby: What is this dog's name?
Me: Reveille
Abby: What's her letters?
Me: R-E-V-E-I-L-L-E
Abby: Whoa, that's a lot of letters.
Me: Want to try to spell it?
Abby: But where is the T?
Me: There is no "T" in Reveille.
Abby: But her coat says "T".
Me: Oh, that's because it stands for Texas A&M, where Mommy went to school.
Abby: You went to Texas A&M when you were a dog?
Me: (laughing)

9 Months Old!

Oh Blake, how you've grown.

9 Months now and CRAZY!  He wants to pull any bit of hair he can find, stand up at all times, get into whatever is open that he shouldn't be in and explore the house like he's searching for gold.  That kid is on the move and is a handful...maybe two handfuls!

He's eating pretty much whatever we give him now and much prefers to feed himself food instead of being spoon fed (like a baby...ha).

I was also reminded this morning that taking photos of a 9 month old isn't the easiest task.  I felt like a ran a marathon after this photo shoot and still didn't really get great shots.  *sigh*
