5 Months Old!

Seems our photo shoots are getting a little tougher these days...no longer do I have a tiny baby that will just sit there. :)  At one point he took off his tie and ripped it in half before I even had time to get it out of his hand!  Happy 5 Months sweet boy!

Abby finally had enough of the tie shenanigans...and just decided to wear it herself!

Blake again...because he's just that cute!

Waco mini-vacation

Since we are doing our big Disney World trip this November for Abby's birthday, we decided we'd just do some mini-trips this summer.  Our first one was the "happening" city of Waco, TX!  On Saturday we met Heather and my Dad  there and went to the Dr. Pepper museum and ate Dr. Pepper and Root Beer floats, then on to the Cameron Park Zoo which was actually really nice.    Dad and Heather had to head back to Ennis that night after dinner, so we stayed in a hotel room so we could do more exploring on Sunday which was also Father's Day.

I might have to say, Sunday morning was probably the best part of our whole trip!  Maybe we didn't think that way at first though. :)  Here's how the morning went....

We loaded up the family and went to a local Cafe for a big Father's Day breakfast.  We ordered, got our yummy food and the best mocha's we've had in a long time.  Things were going great....and then...

Blake decided it was nap time, and refused to sleep in his car seat, or take his pacifier, or be soothed in any way actually.  He wanted in his crib.  Period.  So, as we are finishing our meal, he's wailing louder and louder.  Matt's trying to find the waiter so we can just pay and go back to the hotel to put him down (keep in mind he rarely fusses, so this frazzled Matt because we just aren't used to him crying!).  During this time of Matt standing holding Blake, and me packing up our stuff...Abby announces, "I need to go Poop!!".  Matt tells her to hold it because we are leaving for the hotel in a minute.  Her response was "But it's coming out now!".  I rush her to the potty and even from there can hear Blake screaming in the restaurant!  So she finishes up and we go back out, to which she then announces "That was a really big poop, can I have some M&Ms, please"?     That girl has a one track mind!!!

And that is what I like to call a Happy Father's Day!

Beginning of the trip....

End of the trip...

You can see his head in the lower left.

Goggle dance?

Because who doesn't look better dancing when wearing goggles?

Bananas..

Blake seems so interested in food that I decided to give him a little test run.  As we all know, Abby at this age could care less about food, only then we didn't know it was because she truly had a sensory problem.   So seeing him with this banana makes me almost want to cry!!  We are hoping and praying this little guy will be OK and be an eater!

Sophie the Giraffe

Matt's parents sent Blake his very own Sophie the giraffe.  He loves it and seemed to know exactly how to handle it.  I love watching him figure it out!

Feels so good on those gums!

Photo bomb!

Pool time!

It's finally pool time again!  Abby has been waiting so patiently for this time of year.  So glad we have our club pool with all the slides and fun things for her!  And this year is even better because we have another little one!  And he's so handsome in his little swim trunks and cool hat from Great Aunt Cathy!

Blake's first time in a pool.
He's not exactly sure what to think about it.
