Swimming is hard work

7 Months Old!

Abigail is 7 months old today! That little girl can sit up/lay down/sit up, get up on all 4's and "rock", and is only days away from crawling! She's such a big girl now. We spent her "birthday" at the pool today (she napped through half of it...). Here is her photo shoot pictures!!!

Huggies came out with a limited edition "Jeans" diapers...and Abby is rockin' them. ;) The commercial is so funny I couldn't resist getting some!

Abby has been practicing going from sitting up to laying down a lot over the past few weeks. But yesterday she acquired a new skill. She can now get herself back sitting up from laying on her tummy!! She's such a big girl.

This morning we found her sitting up in her crib. Just hanging out. :)

This coming weekend is finish Project Baby-proofing. *sigh*

They grow up so fast!

Abby is graduating!

Well, sort of. :) We were asked if it was OK to move Abby up to the "older" babies room - Room 2 - at the end of this month. She is developmentally a little ahead of the curve and seems to really like to be around older babies, so it will make for a good fit. Her teachers have been doing trial runs each day with her and she's loving it. The babies in Room 2 can all crawl, so they provide much more entertainment for Abby and she loves watching them. I can only imagine what all she will start to mimic in the coming months!!

She's not yet crawling, but she's up on all 4's and doing the "rocking". She really really wants to just take off and you can see the frustration when she can't!

This week has been Project Baby-Proofing at our house and we are almost there. I asked her to please not start crawling until we were done!

Tubes...and not the fun water tube type

Last Friday was a big day for Abby. She had to get tubes in her ears. :( She had 4 ear infections and her doctor decided that was one to many, and so we scheduled the surgery the same week. Little did we know that she actually had her 5th (and double) ear infection when we went in that morning!! So we obviously made the right decision and are hoping this helps. She's such a trooper though and was back to her normal self within a couple hours after the procedure.

Today, Matt and I took Abby to our Country Club pool for the first time. She did so good! Not one peep. She just sat there and took it all in. She loves watching other kids - and she loves water. So it was a perfect combo! I think we'll be spending a lot of time there this Summer!

Our pediatrician told us to introduce water as well as cups/sippy cups now. She loves them both! Where did my tiny little baby go?

Abby had a good time spending the weekend with Aunt Heather and Great-Grandpa Abram last weekend!

6 Months Old!

Sweet girl is 6 months old. My how time flies. She's sitting up on her own now and itching to start crawling. I sometimes wish she would just slow down on the growing!!!
