Lollipop

Grandpa Heign is in town this weekend and he brought Abby a big o' lollipop!  She, of course, loves it!  That girl got her Daddy's sweet tooth...so much so that I've had to start regulating her "sugar" intake. :)

Sidewalk chalk

I grabbed some cheap $1 sidewalk chalk while at the store the other day, and Abby loves it!  She is so intent on getting every single color out and using it.  She's also very intent on playing with them for hours and throws her famous "lay on stomach while kicking and yelling" fit when I try to make her come in.  It's awesome.

Thirsty...

Abby is really into pretend play right now.  Here she is "chugging" her drink.  :)

Fun games!

Abby comes home each week with a new song or dance she's learned at school.  We've figured out they are doing "Row Row Row your Boat" and "Ring Around the Rosie" by the fact that she loves to do them all the time!  For "Row" she grabs our hands and "rows" back and forth while repeating "row, row row" over and over.  It took us a day or so to figure out what she wanted us to do - but now we have it!  I will try to get a video of that to, it's so funny.

But here she is doing "Ring Around the Rosie".  Her favorite part is "we all fall down"...so much so that she sometimes jumps the gun and "falls" before it's that part of the song!  One of her teachers also told me that her and her friend Alyssa like to hold hands will singing Ring Around the Rosie!

Squeal!

I could listen to this for hours!!

Vocabulary

Abby's vocabulary is growing daily!  I started to compile a list of words she can say. She's not "perfect" at them by any means, but at least we can understand her and know what she's trying to say some of the time!

Here's the list:
Pepper (as in her stuffed dog she adores)
Boo (said while hiding and popping head out to "scare" us)
Diaper (said will patting her bottom)
Dog
Hot (said while spreading her hands real wide as if she just touched a hot stove!)
Ball
Block
Mama
Dada
Papa
Milk
More (she says this while signing it also)
Paper
Done (she says this while signing it also)
Puppy
Hi (said while waving)
Bye Bye (said while waving)

She can also "sign" the words please and poop. :)

I see Harvard in our future.

"I'm not sleepy!"

Abby has moved into the next phase of toddler-hood.  She is viscously flighting sleep.  Therefore making nap time and bed time really tough on us sometimes.   For the longest time she was such a good girl at bed times and we could just kiss her, say nite-nite, and she'd lay down and go to sleep without so much as a peep.

Not anymore.

She tries so hard to stay awake, no matter how tired she is, that she's now starting to fall asleep standing up in her crib.  And will stay there until she falls down...

Abby & Alyssa

Alyssa is Abby's good friend from school.  I told them to get together so I could take their picture, and this is what I got. :)

Little helper!

Abby loves laundry.  She loves to help put it in the washer, she loves to get it out of the dryer, and she loves to help fold it!  But her most favorite part is carrying the basket back to the laundry room.  It is her job...and if you even try to do it for her, she will let you know how displeased she is about that!!

Such a good little helper she is!

Aunt Heather

My sister came to visit over Valentine's weekend.  Abby got a little 24 hour bug and wasn't feeling to good some of the time so we spent a lot of time watching cartoons and playing with the iPad. :)
