Strawberries!

Yesterday was a beautiful day and the opening weekend for picking strawberries at Sweet Berry Farms in Marble Falls.  And the berries were fantastic!!

Creek

I'm almost embarrassed to admit it - but we've lived in our community for almost 3 years now and just this past weekend *final* made our way to the creek.  The creek is what our community is named for.  Everyone talks about it.  It's got a nice paved sidewalk, trash cans, picnic tables, benches, and an old log cabin...the works.  But we just never made it out there because you have to go this funky little way in between houses...and well, we just didn't know what to expect.

But it was awesome!!  We even saw our neighbors down there with their kids playing in the creek.  Dogs running around. And a couple teenagers making out. :)

Cabin and the add on from the 1940s.  The historical marker says that many politicians were entertained here.  Interesting...it would have been in the middle of nowhere in the 40s.

Granny & Grandpa

We had surprise visitors when Granny (my Grandma) and Grandpa (my Dad) came into to Austin to stay with us for a couple of nights!  I never thought I'd get her down here, so we were very excited!  I was able to get a couple great photos too. Abby is still talking about "Granny"!

I was going through my iPhone pictures and found these from Abby's school holiday party.  I totally forgot I took them, but they are so cute I had to post.  The little girl is Kiera, Abby's BFF. :)

My Big Girl

Dare I say it - but Abby is starting to potty train.  She's gone a few times at our house, and now she's starting to go at school.  Yesterday she asked her teachers twice to go sit on the potty - and she went both times.  I told her she didn't need to try and grow up so fast, but she's determined.  :)  We are going to take it slow and not rush her in to anything.

Trike!

Abby is finally getting the hang of pedaling while riding her tricycle.  Between the new jeep (video to come), the new bike and this tricycle we are outside a lot these days!
