Swim Lessons

Abby had her first swim lessons last night and loved it.  She was a bit timid at first until she figured out how it all worked, but then she loved it!  We will go once a week until she's winning the Gold medal at the Olympics...

I am getting ready to head to Australia so I thought I'd post a few videos of Abby over the last couple of days.  I took some time off before my long trip to just have fun with her.  I love how much personality she has!!

Running like a crazy girl on our country club lawn!




Today I took her to a place called Jumpstreet.  There are rows and rows of trampolines and bounce houses, and foam ball pits, and video games.  There is an entire section for little ones...and this morning we had the place all to ourselves for about 15 minutes!

Bluebonnets are here

With all this rain we've been getting, the wild flowers are popping up all over town.  Our neighbor (who is also Abby's teacher Ms. Jo) had planted bluebonnets last year in their flower bed.  Those same bluebonnets have come back this year in force and are now taking over their entire yard!  Before they get them under control, we thought it was a perfect time to snap a few photos of Abby.

Strawberries!

Yesterday was a beautiful day and the opening weekend for picking strawberries at Sweet Berry Farms in Marble Falls.  And the berries were fantastic!!

Creek

I'm almost embarrassed to admit it - but we've lived in our community for almost 3 years now and just this past weekend *final* made our way to the creek.  The creek is what our community is named for.  Everyone talks about it.  It's got a nice paved sidewalk, trash cans, picnic tables, benches, and an old log cabin...the works.  But we just never made it out there because you have to go this funky little way in between houses...and well, we just didn't know what to expect.

But it was awesome!!  We even saw our neighbors down there with their kids playing in the creek.  Dogs running around. And a couple teenagers making out. :)

Cabin and the add on from the 1940s.  The historical marker says that many politicians were entertained here.  Interesting...it would have been in the middle of nowhere in the 40s.

We had surprise visitors when Granny (my Grandma) and Grandpa (my Dad) came into to Austin to stay with us for a couple of nights!  I never thought I'd get her down here, so we were very excited!  I was able to get a couple great photos too. Abby is still talking about "Granny"!
