Sea World Fun!

Things just aren't as easy as they used to be before kids... :)

We woke up on Sunday to cooler weather and decided spontaneously to pack up the kids and head to Sea World.  Which all sounds great, right?

So we start the drive and about halfway there Abby of course has to go potty.  So we decide to just pull over and let her use the travel potty we have in the car to make it quick and get back on the road.  Usually this is a no fail plan but this time her skirt decided to land completely in the potty when she pulled it down...and it was nice and soaked when she finished.  Awesome.  So as I'm "washing" her skirt Matt decides to be proactive and clean the car and get rid of the trash we had laying around.    I happen to mention to him that he should go buy some hand sanitizer in the gas station now so he looks for the cash we just got out of the machine, only to realize he'd just thrown $100 in the gas station trash can!!!  Good thing he was buying that sanitizer...he needed it after digging in the trash can. :)

Finally back on the road and getting close to Sea World the air pressure warning light comes on in the car.  Strange but we didn't think much other than that a tire must be getting low.  So we get to Sea World, check tires and all looks good thankfully and off we go.

Abby and I got to do the new dolphin exhibit called "Dolphin Touch" where instead of buying fish to feed the dolphins like they've always done, you now take turns getting to touch them and then feed them a fish.  She loved her dolphin "Neelee"!  We ended up not getting the photos of it, but I did get these cute ones of Blake and her watching the dolphins play.  Both of them loved it!

We then went to see Shamu, another of her favorites.  Since it's end of season they mainly just did a lot of jumping and swimming and splashing which was actually really fun to watch.

It ended up being a really nice day, the weather couldn't have been more perfect and Blake was such a trooper.

Then it was time to leave...and this is what we come out to... *sigh*

Daddy to the rescue!

Thankfully I was able to quickly locate a Firestone Tire using my iPhone that was 4 miles away, so off we went hoping it would be a quick and easy fix.  It was, but still took them almost 2 hours!!!  Not exactly how we wanted to end our fun day, but Abby and Blake were awesome at the tire place and even though they were tired and ready to be home, both of them just took it in stride and played the whole time.

We will try again soon to go back since the weather is so much nicer...hopefully it will be an easier time.

Happy 8 Months Big Guy!

My guy is 8 months old today!!!  He's *just* on the verge of crawling and quite vocal about the fact that he'd much rather be mobile. :)

He's also eating pretty much anything that comes his way (even things I'm pretty sure his doctor wouldn't be to fond of, haha).

Abby is also getting excited about having a permanent playmate and is interacting with him more and more...and it's so cute.

Happy 8 Months Blake!

Friends and Swimming!

What more could a girl ask for?  One of her BFFs getting to ride with us after school AND watch her at swim class!

The car conversation between them was awesome!

Abby in her class.  It was "clothesline" day - meaning, they were teaching them what it feels like if you fall into water with your clothes and shoes on (heavy) and how to react.  They are all about water safety!

So much fun!

Silly faces at her friend Keira.

Go Cowboys!

1st Haircut for Blake

Blake is not even 7 months old, but his hair was getting a little out of control!  So we finally did the deed and got it cut.  And now my baby looks like a grown up little boy!!!

All started well, sitting in the little taxi.  Then I decided to let go and get a photo...and he fell forward and banged his head. :(  (Mommy of the year!)

He was still so upset about falling over and never quite got over it!

Look at all that baby hair!!!!

My big guy!

Funny - we thought he got lucky and didn't get cradle cap like Abby had as a baby.  Little did we know, it was there and just hiding under all that thick awesome hair.  So here is my little greaser (covered in baby oil).  This is the quickest and easiest way to get rid of it, and it smells good to!

So handsome.

Abby's BFF (Boy Friend Forever)

Abby has a BFF.  And it's a boy named Jack. And she looooves him.  These two have become quite good friends over the past several months and they have all the teachers talking about it.  I've heard everything from "they are going to get married!" to "they found their soulmate in preschool!".  He is a cutie and super sweet and polite on top of that AND we like his parents.   And come to find out, they live just a couple blocks away from us.  How's that for fate, HA.

My girl has good taste. :)

Abby and Jack at his birthday party, sitting in the same chair of course.

So long Preschool!

Abby graduated from preschool. *sniff* Time is just flying and she's growing up so fast!  She's so smart (sometimes to smart) and it's amazing watching her develop over the past year.  She went from a little toddler to a little girl in a matter of a year.

Here is her certificate she got last week on her last day.   She's now off to the Kindergarten prep classroom!!

Big Boy!

Blake has been working on sitting up by himself for a few weeks now, and I think he's finally mastered it.  Look at my big guy!  He loves finally being part of the family when we sit around and play!
