2 week countdown!

We are on the two week countdown so I decided to post a few pictures since I'm pretty much at the point of not being able to get any larger. :) At least I hope.....

Here I am at 38 weeks...

*If you saw this post yesterday, yes - I had different pictures. But they were really bad, so I changed them!*

Friday the 13th?

Today was my weekly doctor visit and all went good. I'm dilated now to 2 cm so we are still going down the right path.

The biggest news is that we decided to schedule a date to induce (if we end up needing to). I needed to have a game plan in place with my company and also my doctor is going to be out for a few days the week after my due date. So it just made sense all around to set a date.

So - unless Baby G decides to show her pretty little face early, we will be inducing on...

FRIDAY the 13TH!

(Teri I know you'll like that!)

Do you think she will come early? ------> vote on the poll!

Last baby shower

Today was my last baby shower and it was given by my coworkers. We got a lot of little stuff that we still needed, so it was great!

Look at this homemade cake - made by my boss. She is obviously excellent at baking.

Here are a couple more pictures as well.

Decorations on the whiteboard....classic.

This is a fleece blanket made by another very talented coworker. It's really soft and will be great during the winter.

Nursery update!

Everything in the nursery is finally coming together! So I thought I'd post a few pictures of it. We still don't have any wall decor (some of which will depend on her name, which we still don't have picked out!). And the shelves are empty, but for the most part everything else is done!

We decided not to use the bumper in the crib just yet. The quilt that you see draped on the back of the crib matches our pattern.

Bare walls here too - still working on decor ideas! You can see the cute little bouncy chair from Grandma Heign next to our glider.

And these are just a couple pictures of our newest baby editions that we love!

The best. stroller. ever. Our Bob Revolution (we have the car seat attached to it in this picture).

The cute little cradle n' swing from Grandma & Grandpa Guggenheim.

Not baby related - but to cute not to post

Lacey (Teri's dog/baby) was invited to a Halloween party last night at a very swanky hotel in Dallas. She attended as a Hula Girl and was even captured on video and made a cameo on TV! Isn't she too cute!

Good doctor's appointment today!

Today I had my routine weekly doctor visit, but we also got to do our last sonogram to check the position of the baby!

Here are a few things we learned:

1. The sonogram tech confirmed one last time for us that the baby is indeed "still" a girl. :)

2. Her estimated weight today was 6 lbs, 13 ounces. Remember these are purely estimates and they could be off a pound or more. But she could potentially be up to 8.5 lbs...yikes!

3. I'm dilated to about 1 cm - not that it really means anything at this point - but at least we are moving in the right direction.

4. Everything looks good with her vital organs, she's practice breathing (which we got to see on the sonogram), and she appears to be totally healthy!

Here are a couple snapshots that the sonogram tech gave us. She has a perfect little round nose.

I think she may be trying to hold her breath here....haha

You know your pregnant when...

At my last doctor's appointment I measured 34.5 centimeters around the belly. It became apparent that this is quite large when I had lunch on Thursday with a group of girls.

There were 5 of us and the hostess put us at a round table near a window. Everyone sat down and I was the last one to grab a seat, which happened to be pushed against that window. I started to sit and got halfway down and realized there is no way I'm going to fit!! So we all had to stand back up and shift around the table to accommodate. It was awesome.

35 weeks down....35 days to go

We've hit the 35/35 mark today! I can't believe we only have 5 weeks left - time is flying so fast.

Baby Shower!

I had a fabulous baby shower on Saturday hosted by Teri, Heather and Elaine at Teri's house in Dallas. Food was good, company was good and I can't get over the amount of gifts this little baby got! She is going to be one spoiled and well-dressed baby! I'm a bit overwhelmed with generosity of everyone as I didn't expect all of this. I mean, I've been to baby showers but I guess when you are on the flip side, it's a whole different experience. I can't even begin to tell everyone how much I appreciated it.

We missed everyone in Middlebury and Houston! But we know you were there in spirit.

Here are a few pictures:

The special "Baby G" M&M's that Elaine (Matt's mom) had made!

The table at the beginning when the gifts started coming in!

Yummy food shots:

I wasn't going to post any pictures of me since I looked like a whale. I think it was a bad dress choice because I really am NOT this big. Honestly! But I loved this one of my and my Grandma and since I'm kinda squatting - I don't look "as" big. :)
