Spa Day

"I'm all ready to go in my robe -
so how does this spa thing work?"

"Steam room...check. Mani/Pedi...check."

"But I wanted the AROMATHERAPY massage!!"

Such a big girl...

Today was Abby's 1-month Pediatrician visit and she weighed in at a whooping 10lbs, 3ozs! She's in the 75th percentile for her age. So she's a little bit above average.

That's our little overachiever. :)

Baby Pictures...

Here are pictures of both Matt and I as babies. We got them out to do a little comparison with Abby.

What do you think...does she look like Mommy or Daddy?

Snowing in Austin??

Since we are due for snow on Friday, Abby and I decided it was time to break out the "baby Uggs" and her cute little outfit from Great Grandma Heign.

She's such a show off... :)

Da Bears

*Thank you Great Uncle Jeff and cousin Jeff* :)

Mommy's first outing...

Yesterday marked 2 weeks postpartum after the c-section which means I was given clearance to drive! Yeah! So my big outing today was to Target.

On my way home I get a call from Matt. Of course I'm assuming the baby is upset/mad/hungry/cranky or all of the above. But as it turns out, it was Daddy that was upset/cranky/mad. haha

Abby is very "regular" in that she is going through diapers like a crazy baby. Sometimes she goes a couple times even while we are changing her! But today was the best day of all. Matt got to experience the first projectile poop diaper change...and he was all by himself to handle it! Apparently she did such a good job, she even got poop 3 feet across the room onto the door of the nursery as well as the carpet. :)

Good job Abby - way to break Daddy in (and while Mommy is away....)!

Here is how they both felt about it:

Thanksgiving Dinner

Having a newborn during the holidays brings on a lot of new challenges. Just to mention a couple:

1. I only have a certain time frame for which I can have a glass of wine in between feeding Abby. I love wine, so this IS a big deal. :)

2. I've had to master the art of eating while soothing a fussy baby girl.

But of course, neither Matt or I would change this for anything.

Thank you Vic and Elaine for all you did this week for us. Between cooking all the meals, doing all the laundry, cleaning all our floors in the house, and doing the landscaping...we can't even begin to tell you how much we appreciate it!
