Jumperoo

Since Abby is such an active and alert little girl - I decided to go ahead and get her jumperoo! I was going to wait until she was 4 or 5 months old...but the way she plays with all the toys at daycare, I thought she might like it now.

And like it she does!! We put her in last night and it was like she had done this many times before...and knew exactly what to do. I think we'll get lots of playtime out of this over the next year!

Her little feet don't yet touch the ground, but the Wii Fit box does just the trick!

Shake, Shake, Shake....

Abby loves mornings. Today she woke us up by talking to herself in her bed! Matt and I love to be the first one to see her in the mornings - because that person gets the biggest and best smiles of the day. So we try to try to trade off throughout the week! :)

And just to prove our addiction to those sweet baby girl smiles - we will go to great lengths to keep them coming.

Finally....SNOW!

We had an awesome snowfall today. The flakes were coming down so hard that everything was white! It was beautiful...like we were in a snow globe! I decided to go pick Abby up before the roads started to get bad (Austin drivers + snow/rain = bad) and since all the schools were shutting down. I tried to snap a couple pictures of us...but being the model and the photographer made for some interesting shots. But here are a couple...sans me. :)

Pigtails??!!

Matt picked Abby up from daycare today, and this is what he found!! Her first pigtails. That girl has some hair!

Bad Daddy

We knew it would happen. We were warned by all the baby books, our friends, and even our Pediatrician. But it was still just as traumatic as I thought it would be.

Matt clipped Abby's finger while trying to clip her nails. :(

Poor girl jumped so hard and immediately went into the scream (this is her special "uber loud, pissed off, I'm going to make you feel awful scream).

I'm just glad it was Matt that did it first.

Giggles!

Abby has started giggling!

I've been trying to capture it on video - but it's been quite a task. We did get some little ones out of her a few nights ago. She's really ticklish under her arms!

Enjoy!

Three Months Old!

Abby is 3 months old today! Can you believe it? It's already been 3 whole months?

She has finally found her feet and really likes to stare at them when moving them up and down. It takes her full concentration - so it must be really cool! Today she started really grabbing at them - therefore I know it's only a matter of time before they end up in her mouth. :)

Unfortunately this hasn't been the best week for us. Abby started to sound really congested on Sunday so we took her to the doctor and she tested positive for RSV. It's basically like a really bad cold/lower respiratory infection type of thing. We've been struggling with it all week and thankfully Matt's Mom was able to come down and help. But I think we hit our peak and are on the road to recovery. We know the congestion and coughing will last for a couple more weeks - but we hope she at least feels a little better!

And since we were at the doctor's office they weighed her and she was a big 12 lbs 4 oz! She's our big girl!

Snowing in Dallas!

Here in Austin we are just getting some sleet and not much of anything else. I was really hoping we'd get some nice snow and get to take some cute family pictures of the craziness. But, alas, it doesn't look like we'll get much more than some rain today.

Dallas, however, has got a nice little blanket going on. I'm almost jealous. I mean - it's not everyday that you get to see snow like this in North/Central Texas!

Here are some pictures of my sister's dog, Haley, loving this weather!
