Daycare Diaries...Part 6

Abby has a best friend.

There is a little girl named Alyssa in Abby's daycare class.  And over the last couple of weeks they've really began to become great friends.  To the point of hugging and giving kisses to each other!!  Their teacher, Mrs. Tina, took a picture of the cute-ness (they now sit by each other at the table for every meal), and I hope to get a copy of it to post here.

Alyssa is over a year old but is a bit behind on walking due to hip dysplasia at birth. So Abby likes to bring her toys throughout the day and really just makes sure she's taken care of.  My girl has such a big heart!!!

Kitty love

Abby's love for our cat Shelby is growing by the day!!  Abby can be mad, crying, upset, whatever and all you have to do is show her the cat and she is all smiles.  She's started giving her lots of hugs and a few kisses to.  I think Shelby is just so happy to have attention that she is actually allowing Abby to do mostly whatever she wants to her!  Shelby might even be starting to like Abby a bit too. :)

Breakfast...

One of Abby's most favorite thing to do in the mornings is share Daddy's cereal.  She gets excited when he pulls out the bowl and sits down...hopping right up in his lap.  I think this might be one of her Daddy's favorite things too. :)

Hard at Work

Abby had a lot of work she needed to get done today.  Lot's of things to sign off on.

Gift

Today our neighbors from across the street came to visit.  They are from India and just got back from  spending about 6 months over there.  They are the nicest little retired couple.  A bit hard to understand through their thick accents, but we really like them.  He was an anesthesiologist in Iowa and now they just live here in Cedar Park (their daughter is also a doctor in Temple, TX).

The reason they came over was to give Abby a Sari that they brought back from India!!!  It is absolutely beautiful and these pictures don't do justice.   We can't believe they thought of her and did that!  She also brought us something she baked that is quite delicious that we are snacking on now as I type.

We have great neighbors!

Blue Sucker

Of course I grabbed the blueberry one...

Making the loud sucking noises make it taste THAT much better!

Baby Bloomers!

Since I'm off this whole week I decided to take Abby to Austin Children's Museum today for their Monday morning Baby Bloomers event.  The entire museum is closed to kids age 3 and under only and they have story time, music sing-alongs, games and tons of fun.  Abby played with every single toy/game/activity and she LOVED the sing-along with the guy on the guitar.  She even rocked it out on the bongos with him.

I tried to take her beanie off several times during the morning, but she insisted that she wear it!!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas was so much fun this year!!  Abby brings with her a whole new dynamic to both our families.  Matt and I are both the babies so it's been a really long time since either side have had someone this young around!  Enjoy the pictures!

Helping Daddy test out the lights for our house.

At Nana & Papa's house, formal dining table, feet kicked up,
eating oyster crackers...what more could a baby want?

Here - let me get that for you.

I know how this works now!

Look at all those gifts - I hope there is something for me!

I'll just keep looking...

There's even stuff in my stocking from Grandma Heign!

Baby laptop = fun!

Um, excuse me, I need to push this Nutcracker around
in my shopping cart and you are in my way.

Abby & Sydney

Abby finally got to meet her cousin Sydney this past weekend on Christmas Eve.  I really hope these girls can be great friends growing up since they are just a year apart.  Matt reminded us while we were there - what a difference one year makes!  I remember this time last year when Abby was just a little newborn.  Amazing how quickly time flies!
