First day of Pre-School!

I'm a little late posting it, but I snapped this photo of Abby's first day of pre-school.  She was a little nervous because she knew something was going to be different that day, and wasn't 100% clear on what that meant.  But she's perfectly happy now and excited to be in a new "big" class room.

Tea for Two...

I walked into the playroom this past weekend after hearing lots of British accents and something about tea (why we have to talk in an accent, not sure, just seems right).

Abby had dressed Matt up and they were having a Tea Party.  She has a chest of dress up clothes with jewelry and accessories, and they look so good on Matt!

Synchronized Swimming

Abby loves her swim class so much - and when the girls were getting ready to dive in this past weekend, I couldn't pass up this photo op!

Bluebonnet 2011-2012

Abby's teacher gave us a slideshow of pictures taken throughout the year at her school.  She started off so small and has grown so much!!

Gymnastics

Abby started gymnastics this week and loves it!  The teacher gave us a long lecture at the beginning about how most kids are at first intimidated or shy to get on the equipment, but don't push them let them explore, yadda, yadda, yadda.

The second we told Abby she could go play - off she went at full speed.

She also practiced her front rolls over and over and over again on the mats.  The teacher was quite impressed with her skills for never having been in a class before.  We got to be with her during class since we just started, but by her birthday (or maybe even before) she will be taking these classes by herself.  

Watch for her at the Olympics in 2024. :)

Diving

Abby is also into the diving competition at the Olympics.  So much so she decided to "practice" and jump along with them.  :)  This was a back flip dive.  I give her a solid 10!

Dance Class

Today was "parent viewing" day at Abby's dance class.  Matt and I both took off work this afternoon to go watch.  She was so excited to show us her moves!

Bathing Beauty

Olympic dreamer

Abby loved watching the girls gymnastics competition so much that it's all she talks about...even a couple weeks since it's been over!  She remembers all of the girls, and even which ones fell during the competition.

We were in our play room yesterday and she said "Watch me Mommy, I'm Pink Girl".  (She called all the girls by the color of their uniforms).

And this video is what came next!!



I can't decide to if I want to keep her in dance class, or put her in gymnastics.  She seems to love it!

Ice Cream!

We love making ice cream in our stand mixer...or should I say, Abby loves making ice cream.
